Wish I would have taken pictures of the food Buffett. Gotta say not what I expected from the reviews. Not much to look at from the outside but for a small town they do it right. Though it's not dirty but it's a typical small town restaurant. The wait staff are busy.There is a back rooms its tables and chairs. Again, nothing fancy. Walked up to the buffet though there is a menu you can order from. The buffet had all fixin's you could what, even foil wrapped warmed tortillas. The fruit was fresh and crispy, and I'm a fruit snob. Homemade biscuits, gravy, even chocolate gravy which I never heard of before.honestly, I really have nothing to complain about. We would stop there again Overall, good breakfast. Cost is $10 person.

Four of us have been traveling from southeastern MO through Arkansas to eastern Oklahoma over the last week. The best breakfast of the week (mostly hotel offerings, but a couple restaurants) was here. We ordered a range of foods. First of all. This place now seems to be smoke free. The smokers were smoking out front to the left of the entrance. Second, the food. I ordered the biscuit, bacon, egg, cheese, and bacon sandwich. Real eggs, real bacon, full flavor. The biscuits are not made in-house anymore, we were told. We were also told these biscuits were improved. Whatever. It was great. Oh, and it was less than 3 dollars. The coffee was among the best we had on this trip, too. Not great, but better than most hotels and other outlets. Then, the waitress was snappy and fun and upped our total experience. Great breakfast.

I'm not sure why this place has good reviews. My sister and I ate here when staying in Van Buren, MO for the weekend. She had tried Float Stream a couple years ago, and said it wasn't very good. However, there were a lot of cars in the parking lot, so we thought maybe it was under new ownership and had improved. My first impression was how dark and dismal the restaurant looked. The lighting was this dark yellowish color and wood paneling was everywhere. Service was not great either. I can live with that if the food is good though. We opted for the Mexican Buffet, which in itself was probably a bad idea. The food wasn't that good and looked like it had been sitting out for a while, but we were starving so we ate it. About an hour later we got back to our motel and my sister thought she was going to throw up. My stomach also felt upset. The next day I still wasn't feeling well and almost passed out (food poisoning??). Two days later and I'm still battling diarrhea and stomach upset. I normally have an iron stomach, so this had to have been really bad. I rarely write reviews for places, but this was such a bad experience that I had to warn others.

Excellent lunch buffet with all you can eat catfish. Salad bar was well stocked. Services were excellent. Non-smoking section in back was completely free of smoke.

Here's a tip: to get out of the smoke, walk through to the back of the restaurant. (I only learned this later.) That room is the "nonsmoking area." The breakfast here was great, and portions huge, if I didn't have to get black lung while eating it. Grandmas and toddlers all seemed to be smoking. Their giant Cinnamon Rolls *might* be worth the lung cancer.... jury still out.
